Farewell, but not good-bye!
As most of you already know, this will be my last term at yoga I Saltis. I started practicing yoga here in Saltsjöbaden with Viveka Blom Nygren back in 2002. I’ve been teaching for 14 years and running Yoga I Saltis since 2009. It’s been fantastic to be part of building the yoga community in Saltis. Many of you have been practicing with me from the beginning and the relationships we have formed mean so much to me.
I have thoroughly enjoyed every minute on the mat with all of you and my decision to leave doesn’t come easy. I will miss all the dazzling sunny days in our beautiful space. Whenever I unlocked the door and walked into the shala, the brilliant light, the colors of sky and sea, the moonlit nights, the sounds of the rain and wind, always grounded and calmed me. One by one, as you came in and took your places on the mat - each one of you, a part of the magic that graced the room and created a space for yoga to happen. In these years, in the daily meetings with all of you, I found my voice and my calling to teach this beautiful practice. In this simple practice of presence and showing up on the mat to move and breath together, I have felt the heart-opening, warm love and connection that yoga brings and for that I am forever grateful.
In conjunction with running Yoga I Saltis, I have continued to work with Viveka and teaching at Atmajyoti Yoga in Stockholm. In the past few years I have started to teach Atmajyoti’s 200 hour Teacher Training program as well as a Yin Yoga Teacher Training. I will also be delveloping their 300 hour Teacher Training. I’ve taken on more and more responsibilities and I’ve come to see that I need to devote more time in order to do that well.
I’m confident that yoga will continue to grow here in Saltis, and though I’m leaving my place at the studio, I’m still close by! You can find me at Atmajyoti Yoga in town and I hope to have some weekend events here in Saltsjöbaden also! As soon as I get more information about how yoga will look in the fall, I will post information here and on the facebook site. You can also keep in touch with your teachers and they will be able to inform you.
Much love to all of you!
